Be Still and Know that I am God. ~ Psalm46 v.10.
How we need to hear this in these troubled times.
Be still doesn’t mean to stop everything we are doing, but rather to be still in our spirit, not in turmoil or striving but being in that place of rest, of trust, knowing that God is in control.
Earlier in this Psalm we read some other verses of comfort such as:
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble.v.1.
He is present He is near, not distant from us.He alone is our source of strength.
We will not fear.Let’s put that into practice and not give in to fear that is surrounding
us at the moment.v.2.
The Lord of hosts is with us.v.7.
Let us practice the art of being still in His Presence, listening to His Voice and His Heartbeat.
Knowing that He is God, and we can be at peace in whatever situation we face even the most difficult one.
